Fixed annuity service level update

Your business is our number one priority.

As you may know, we recently experienced an extremely high fixed index annuity sales volume. Thank you for your business! We are working diligently – including overtime on weekdays and weekends – to process your business as efficiently as possible. To keep you updated, here are the current service levels for this week:

  • We are continuing to process applications (review and send transfers) from July 19 and forward.
  • Initial review on applications to determine if they are in good order is taking 4-5 business days.
  • Transfer paperwork received is taking 4-5 business days to be reviewed and sent out.
  • Suitability reviews are taking 1-2 business days to complete.

We are also experiencing a higher volume of calls into our service center at this time, which may result in longer than expected hold times.

Are concerns about inflation keeping your clients up at night? According to the latest data from our Retirement Risk Readiness study, that just might be the case. Two-thirds of Americans (67%) said they’re worried about the rising cost of living in 2021, an 8-point increase from the 3 in 5 people who said the same thing in 2020. The number of Americans who reported worrying about health care costs also increased, from 65% to 71%. However, the bigger issue is they might not be telling you about their worries. Two-thirds of Americans are not discussing concerns about their finances and retirement savings with their financial advisor – but the good news is they would welcome such a conversation. This article from CNBC/Grow shares insights from Allianz Life VP Kelly LaVigne about the study results and how you may be able to position the findings to have constructive conversations with your clients about managing their retirement risks.

Do your clients care about sustainable investing?

Increased interest means clients may be ready to get involved.

Sustainable investing has gained a lot of attention over the past few years, and new findings from an Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) study indicate it isn’t going away anytime soon. If your clients haven’t already broached the subject, it may be only a matter of time.

That’s because the interest and demand for sustainable investing is reaching new levels. In fact, nearly two-thirds (64%) of people currently hold a positive overall opinion of this type of investing, according to the 2021 Allianz Life Sustainable Investing Study.
